As every year, April was the month for environmental awareness. We planted a lot of plants on our roof and encouraged our staff to ride their bikes to work. We also organized a flea market for clothes. Many an unused t-shirt found a new owner, along the lines of “recycle, dear Michael”.
Spreadshirt published the turnover statistics for 2011. The clothing commerce platform increased their turnover by 43% compared to the previous year. Moreover, Spreadshirt announced the new opening of a production site in Las Vegas.
Football legend Lothar Matthäus graced our headquarters in Leipzig with a visit. He used the opportunity of launching his personal t-shirt collection. Lothar now ranks in an array of heroes who have their collection with us.

Philip Rooke becomes Spreadshirt's new CEO in May. Philip joined us in 2009 and has been on the board of directors since 2010. The main focal points of his work are marketing and management.
